Continued Education Policies

General Class Policy

Attendance & Certificates:

  • To receive a Certificate of Completion and continuing education credit, students must attend the entire class session.

  • Students who miss more than 30 minutes of instructional time (for any reason) will not be eligible to receive a certificate or continuing education hours for that class.

Professional Standards:

  • Students are expected to maintain professional behavior at all times, including respect for peers, instructors, and facility property.

  • This includes arriving on time, refraining from disruptive or inappropriate behavior, and participating in a cooperative and respectful manner.

  • Students must have completed at least the state-required minimum education in anatomy, physiology, and massage training prior to attending any hands-on continuing education class.

  • The instructor reserves the right to dismiss any student whose conduct is unsafe, unethical, or unprofessional. In such cases, no refund or credit will be issued.

Classroom Courtesy:

  • Please silence all devices and limit personal phone use to breaks.

  • Be considerate of shared space, time, and classmates.

  • Come prepared with appropriate attire, materials, and an open, learning-oriented attitude.

Communication:

  • The instructor will communicate important class information, including travel tips, lodging, dining, and local recommendations, via email prior to the event.

  • Additional communication may also occur after class for follow-up materials, resources, or continuing education documentation.

  • By registering, you consent to receive class-related emails before and after the course.

Venue Policies:

  • When classes are held at partner or host locations, students are expected to comply with all venue-specific rules and policies in addition to those outlined here.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Student Cancellations:

  • More than 14 days before the class:
Cancellations made 15 days or more before the class start date will receive a full refund, minus a 4% processing fee, or may transfer to another class at no additional cost.

  • 3–14 days before the class:
Cancellations made 3–14 days before the class start date are eligible for a 50% refund or a one-time transfer to another class within the renewal cycle or up to one year, whichever is longer, subject to availability.

  • Within 72 hours of the class or no-show:
No refunds or transfers will be issued for cancellations made within 72 hours of the class start time or for no-shows.

Transfers & Substitutions:

  • Students may transfer their registration to another qualified participant up to 7 days before class at no charge.

  • Transfer requests made after this deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Sickness & Emergencies:

  • Life happens — if a participant must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstance, refunds or transfers may be granted at the instructor’s discretion.

  • Documentation may be requested to support the request.

Instructor Cancellations:

  • In the unlikely event that a class must be cancelled or rescheduled by the instructor (e.g., illness, insufficient enrollment, or weather emergency), students will have the choice of a full refund or transfer to a rescheduled date.

  • The instructor will make best efforts to report schedule changes in a timely manner.

  • The instructor is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants.

Weather & Emergencies:

  • If severe weather, natural disaster, or other emergency circumstances require a class to be cancelled, participants will be notified as soon as possible. In such cases, a full refund or reschedule option will be provided.

Venue Policies:

  • Please note that some hosting venues may have their own additional policies or regulations regarding cancellations, conduct, or facility use. These will apply in addition to this policy when relevant.
