The "Coal Miner's Daughter" Fund is a charitable initiative aimed at providing therapeutic massage services to individuals in need. The fund operates on the principle of community support, leveraging contributions from various sources including tips, fundraising events, charitable donations, and a designated portion of each massage session fee.

The genesis of the fund begins with the establishment of a contributions jar, where patrons can voluntarily donate towards the cause. These initial contributions mark the beginning of a sustained effort to extend the healing power of massage to those facing financial or personal hardships.

Over the course of several months, the fund will evolve through a series of stages designed to streamline operations, engage the community, and ensure equitable access to massage therapy services for those most in need.

Coal Miners Daughter

  • March 1, 2024
Stage 1, set to commence on March 1, involves the implementation of a prepayment system for massage services. Clients will be encouraged to prepay for their sessions, with the option to include an additional amount towards the "tips pay it forward policy." This policy allows patrons to contribute directly to the fund, enabling the purchase of massages for individuals unable to afford them.

  • Due April 15,
Stage 2 focuses on creating a comprehensive budget to cover the costs associated with providing massage services to recipients of the fund. This includes expenses related to therapist compensation, overhead costs, and administrative expenses.

  • Due date 5/12/24
In Stage 3 and Stage 4, the fund will undergo a process of refinement and restructuring. Existing policies will be reviewed and updated to align with the fund's mission and objectives. Additionally, changes to the pricing structure of services will be implemented to support the sustainability of the fund and ensure its long-term viability.
